Etisalat, the UAE’s premier telecom provider, announced on September 10 that they have introduced unlimited daily and 100 MB weekly data plans for Wasel prepaid mobile users – available to both existing customers and new signups – offering more control and flexibility over mobile data usage. Each daily unlimited data plan costs AED 5, while 100MB weekly plans cost AED 20, offering great value at affordable rates.
Etisalat also announced a reduction in monthly data plan costs; for its 1GB plan (previously AED 145) it now costs just AED 99 and 5GB plans have been reduced from AED 295 to 249; should any exceed their limit, an out-of-bundle charge of AED 1 per MB applies both weekly and monthly plans.
These new data plans are designed to provide a seamless and worry-free experience for customers, featuring an auto-renewal option that saves time and effort. New users will begin their plan as soon as they first connect to the Internet, with automatic renewal occurring the next time they access the web after their initial subscription expires.
Etisalat’s Chief Marketing Officer Khaled El Khouly noted that with the rising use of smartphones and tablets in the UAE, its competitively priced data plans make staying connected easier and more cost-effective for all, whether browsing websites, checking emails or using social media.
